Welcome aboard i live and work in Venezia Italy, i do software programmer, and on the weekend my hobby is to do extra like barman into discoclubs. E.g. Marina Club Jesolo, Muretto, Casa di Caccia, Ultraclub @ Molo 5, Area City, Casa Bianca, Asha, Nodo 747, Margot, Porta Gialla etc etc. My favourite party downtown is VENICE CARNIVAL: it's 'bout in February (the exact date change every year).
Not of minor importance is the FESTA DEL REDENTORE is an event held in Venice on the third Saturday in July. From the early afternoon, Saint Mark's basin fills with lots n lots of boats of all kinds, festooned with balloons and garlands, and thousands of Venetians await the midnight fireworks while dining on the boats.
Unforgettable also is The Leone d’Oro Award, GOLDEN LION AWARD is the highest prize given to a film at the Biennale of Art at Venice Film Festival during the first week of September in Lido beach.
Then another huge Venetian party is on the first Sunday of September takes place the HISTORICAL REGATTA (Regata Storica) a competition between Venetian boats watched by thousands of people from the banks or from floating stands. Competitions are preceded by a historical ancient boat procession named Bucintoro Corteo Storico.
